The CM said the state has attracted as many as 130 large industries with a combined capital investment of more than Rs 3.3 lakh crore and employment opportunity for over 2.25 lakh persons.

He said this at Kharavela Bhawan here during the 9th phase ground breaking and inauguration of 26 new industrial projects spanning 10 sectors across nine districts.

Stating that the 26 projects worth Rs 5567.50 crore launched on Saturday will create more than 9,000 employment opportunities in the state, he said the event is special as it coincides with the state’s celebration of the 16th Entrepreneur’s Week starting March 5.

He also said the state is known for its scenic beauties and the Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC) should promote these places.

On the Make in Odisha Conclave 2020 scheduled to begin from November 30 in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister invited the global investors to join the event and asked the departments concerned to work towards making the conclave a grand success.
