Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the scheduled meeting between Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, senior BJP leader Jayanarayan Mishra has made certain suggestions to the two leaders.

The Leader of Opposition (LoP) told reporters in Bhubaneswar that both Mamata and Naveen should take up certain disputes between the Odisha and West Bengal during their meeting instead of holding discussion on political issues.

The Bengal Chief Minster’s meeting with Naveen on the concluding day of her three-day Odisha visit has triggered a wide variety of speculations in political circles.

Noting that some border disputes between the two states in some areas, the senior BJP leader said the two Chief Ministers should discuss these issues and find some way to resolve the disputes at the earliest.

“Instead of holding political talks, the two leaders should focus on resolving border row. They should discuss border disputes and find a permanent solution,” he said.

Stating that border dispute issues are being faced in Bhograi and Udaipur areas, Mishra said the two CMs should accord due importance to these issues and initiate steps for permanent solution.
