Navy Ship Makes Emergency Berthing At Paradip Port In Odisha
Jagatsinghpur: A ship of Indian Navy made emergency berthing at Paradip port in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district on Saturday.
According to sources, Indian Navy’s survey ship, INS Darshak berthed at multipurpose berth of Paradip Port after a crew member fell sick and needed emergency medical attention.
The crew member, belonging to Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, felt chest pain and faced difficulty in breathing. The ship contacted the port authorities for emergency berthing.
The port authorities made necessary arrangement for emergency berthing of the Navy ship and immediate shifting of the crew to hospital.
Immediately after the ship berthed at the port, an ambulance of Indian Coast Guard took him to Paradip Port Hospital for treatment. Later, he was shifted to Navy hospital at INS Chilika.
