NEET PG 2021: Paper Rated Easy As 1.6 Lakh Candidates Appear For Test

The COVID-induced twice-postponed National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG) was finally held on Saturday at 679 centres in 270 cities of India.

About 1.6 lakh candidates appeared for the medical entrance exam following COVID-19 protocols.

The consensus among candidates and teachers was that NEET PG 2021 – conducted by National Board of Examinations — was easier than previous years.

There were 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 800 marks, which had to be solved in three-and-a-half hours — compared to 300 MCQs in past exams. Most questions were one-liners, with image-based questions being very few.

There was no multiple correct or match the following pattern of questions, neither was a question asked on COVID-19 pandemic.

“Students who had knowledge of simple facts and who could apply basic concepts will definitely crack the exam. In short, questions were answerable if the candidate had basic knowledge of the subject, Aakash Institute Director (PG Division) Dr Aseem Dewan was quoted as saying by PTI.
