Balasore: Snakes may not be the biggest reptiles, but they evoke fear due to their unpredictable slithering movement and, often, dangerous venom.
Snake charmers are brave enough to tame snakes, or ‘hypnotise’ them by playing a certain tune, and make them dance and sway, and even hold them to captivate onlookers.
However, one man in Remuna, in Odisha’s Balasore district, performed a stunt that can be described as spine-tingling and hair-raising.
Identified as Khaga Bhai, he actually picked up a large snake with his mouth!
In a video that has gone viral, Khaga is seen crouching in front of a snake, and trying to grab it. He doesn’t take long, but the people who had gathered are stunned to see Khaga actually pick up the snake with his mouth, not hands.
He then holds the reptile between his teeth and casually moves around to ‘entertain’ the audience.
After taking the snake off his mouth, he holds the reptile and puts it on the ground, playing around with it. As he tries to provoke the reptile, an onlooker comes forward to intervene. But Khaga is seen waving him him off.
He ultimately pushes the snake inside a cloth bag provided by another person. Khaga then picks up a second snake, which was lying on the ground nearby.

Netizens couldn’t believe what they saw. Some even flagged animal cruelty.
“This is ridiculous. Please tell me the snake had no poison in it. Also, this is animal cruelty, please stop supporting all this,” commented one user.
“This is why I don’t believe that Indians are normal people. I don’t even want to comment on the man and his guts or foolishness, but what about the people watching him, they are somewhat encouraging him,” shared another person.
“India is now not even for advanced people,” expressed one netizen.
“I completely missed spotting the second snake. There is a SECOND SNAKE just lying there on the ground, without any supervision. What if the snake attacks or something to people watching and gathered around,” said another user.
