Bhubaneswar: After reporting over 400 new COVID-19 cases for three days in a row, Odisha breached the 500-mark on Monday with 573 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
This is the biggest spike this year and it has pushed the number of active cases to 3358.
According to the Health Department sources, 337 are quarantine and 236 local contact cases.
Khurda has reported the highest of 96 cases followed by Sundargarh (80), Nuapada (60), Bargarh (43), Jharsuguda (39), Angul (32), Cuttack (28), Kalahandi (24) and Balangir (20).
