New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), on Tuesday, searched multiple locations linked with Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, a designated terrorist of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). The raids were carried out across several locations in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Brar is also known to be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and openly admitted that he planned the murder of singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala in Punjab in 2022.
The searches conducted on Tuesday relate to the grenade attacks on two clubs in Sector-29, Gurugram. The December 2024 attacks on the Warehouse Club and Human Club were allegedly carried out as part of an extortion bid by Brar and his associate Randeep Malik, a US-based gangster.
“NIA teams conducted extensive searches at premises belonging to suspects and accused associated with foreign-based terrorist Goldy Brar and US-based gangster Randeep Malik. Several electronic and other incriminating materials were recovered during the searches conducted at eight locations in various districts of the two states this morning. The materials are being examined by the NIA for clues to the entire conspiracy behind the bombings, in which arms, ammunition and explosive materials were seized from the accused involved in the attack,” an official said.
Rohit Godara, a notorious gangster, took responsibility for the grenade attacks at the two clubs through a social media post. The NIA took up the case subsequently and investigations revealed the involvement of Brar and Malik. The NIA has said that investigations are continuing and efforts are being made to bring Brar and Malik to justice.
