Bhubaneswar: The night temperature in Odisha is likely to fall again by 2-3 degree Celsius after 3 days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Tuesday.
The mercury rose in the last 24 hours with Daringbadi in Kandhamal being the coldest in the state at 9.5 degree Celsius, followed by G Udayagiri at 10.2 degree Celsius, a rise of almost 6 degrees in last 3 days, Semiliguda in Koraput at 11.2 degree Celsius, Phulbani at 11.5 degree Celsius and Rourkela at 11.7 degree Celsius.
G Udayagiri had recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 7.2 degree Celsius on Monday, 5.2 degree Celsius on Sunday and 4.8 degree Celsius on Saturday.
Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 16.7 degree Celsius and 15.5 degree Celsius respectively. The mercury had been hovering around 13 degree Celsius in the twin cities for the last few days. The cities had recorded at 13.4°C and 13.5°C respectively on Monday, 13.2°C and 12.8°C respectively on Sunday and 13.6°C and 12.5°C on Saturday.
The weather agency has also forecast dense fog at one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Bhadrak districts till January 16 morning. Shallow to moderate fog may also occur at one or two places in Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam and Gajapati til January 17 morning.
