Niranjan Asks Five Questions To PM Ahead Of His Odisha Visit
Bhubaneswar: A day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Odisha visit, the Congress on Monday fired a volley of questions at him.
Briefing mediapersons at the Congress Bhawan here on Monday, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik said Prime Minister should reply to his five questions.
“The BJP during the last general elections had promised to revise the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy on the basis of the recommendation of the Swaminathan Committee. Why the recommendation of the committee has not yet been implemented? Let the Prime Minister give a clarification on this to the farmers during his visit to Balangir,” he said.
He also said that the Prime Minister, who had promised to provide job to 2 crore youths every year, should tell as to how many youths of Odisha have been provided jobs so far.
Besides, the OPCC chief also sought clarification from the Prime Minister on why Centre didn’t gave permission to the Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) to build the fuselage of the Rafale fighter jet, stopped the KBK Scheme and special assistance to these backward districts of Odisha and why the CBI probe into the mega chit fund scam in Odisha is not making any headway.
