NIRF Ranking: Check The Best Medical Institutes In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: SOA, Bhubaneswar, has topped the table from Odisha by securing 18th position among 50 top medical institutes in the country, according to the NIRF Ranking released by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday.

It was ranked 21st last year.

AIIMS-Bhubaneswar has moved up by 5 points to 26th position while KIIT, Bhubaneswar, has been ranked 30th, a jump of 6 points since last year.

AIIMS-Bhubaneswar Director Prof. Mukesh Tripathi (incumbent) congratulated all faculty, staff members and students on the achievement and appreciated the performance of students. Similarly, AIIMS Bhubaneswar Executive Director (Designate) Prof. Ashutosh Biswas congratulating all stakeholders on the success has reiterated its comprehensive approach towards patient care as well as research and overall development of medical students.

It may be noted here that over the years, AIIMS-Bhubaneswar has emerged as one of the best medical institutes.  Recently, it was adjudged among the top 20 medical colleges in the country in the India Today survey 2022.

The top three medical institutes in the country are All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, and Christian Medical College, Vellore.

The ranking is based on five parameters – Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Peer Perception (PP).

SOA, Bhubaneswar, at 10 and KIIT, Bhubaneswar, at 26 are the two only colleges from the state in the Dental category. However, none from Odisha found a place in the Pharmacy category.
