Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government issued Unlock 4.0 guidelines on Monday.
With the Centre restricting states from imposing lockdowns outside containment zones without its permission, night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am and weekend shutdown have been done away with from September 1 to revive the slumping economy.
Though Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha, notification speaks nothing about these ongoing restrictions, the order states that activities that are not specifically prohibited/regulated/restricted are allowed subject to adherence to safety and health protocols and SOPs/guidelines issued by appropriate authorities.
However, strict lockdown will be implemented in the containment zones till September 30.
Weekend shutdown was imposed in four districts of Ganjam, Khurda, Gajapati, Cuttack and Rourkela Municipal Corporation till August 31. District administration had also declared shutdown in specific areas with more COVID-19 cases to check the spread of the virus during this month.
The other guidelines issued by the SRC are similar to those of the August 29 notification of the Centre.
