Mumbai: Mumbai’s sessions court on Friday denied bail to Rhea Chakraborthy in a drug case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The Bollywood actress had filed a bail application on Wednesday before the sessions court in Mumbai after a magistrate court rejected her bail application and remanded her to 14-day judicial custody on Tuesday.
After the hearing, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that they will move Bombay High Court next week for bail.
Rhea was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday after three days of questioning. She has been charged under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for peddling drugs.
Earlier speaking to media, Maneshinde had said that Rhea had been falsely implicated in the case.
