No Roadshow, PM Modi To Review BJP Govt Performance On Nov 29 During Odisha Visit
Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will review performance of the Mohan Majhi government in Odisha on November 29, BJP Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal informed on Wednesday.
It is for the first time that the PM will have a three-day stay in Odisha. He will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here at 4.15 pm on November 29.
“The PM will be accorded a rousing welcome after his arrival at the airport and a public meeting will be conducted inside its campus. After a brief halt at Raj Bhawan, he will arrive at the party headquarters at 6.30 pm. Modi will attend a meeting of party MPs, MLAs and office-bearers for over two hours and also have dinner here,” he told reporters.
He, however, said that there will be no roadshow.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi along with Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan, Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and DGP YB Khurania reviewed the security arrangements at the state party office. “The Prime Minister will review the performance of BJP government in the state. This is a matter of pride that we will present our report cards before the Prime Minister,” said the Panchayati Raj Minister.
Modi will join the DGP and IG conference to be held at the Convention Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan during the next two days. Being held in Odisha for the first time, the conference will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on November 29.
The event venue has been declared as no flying zone.
Earlier this month, the PM had said that the Centre was making a committed endeavour to turn Odisha into one of the most preferred destinations for investors in the country while attending ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ in New Delhi.
