None Tests Positive In Rapid Antigen Test For COVID-19 In This Odisha District Today

Berhampur: The Rapid Antigen test for COVID-19 in Odisha Ganjam district showed zero positive results on Monday.

According to sources, 3597 Rapid Antigen tests were conducted during the day. The administration is yet to receive the RTPCR report, which takes about three days.

“The credit for this goes to all COVID warriors and team Ganjam,” said Collector Ganjam Vijay Amrit Kulange.

He urged people to use masks, wash hands regularly and obey all COVID regulations.

This assumes significance since the district was once considered the COVID-19 hotspot of Odisha.

Notably, the district had reported 15 fresh infections in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 21,395. Among them, 21,025 patients have recovered from the disease while 130 are still under treatment. The deadly virus has claimed 232 lives in the district so far.

Meanwhile, Begunia block and Kodala NAC under Chhatrapur sub-division have become free from COVID-19.
