Normal Train Services Restored After Rail Roko In Odisha, 2 Other States Called Off
Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Tuesday evening announced that services of trains that were cancelled and diverted in the morning due to rail roko agitation of Adivasi Kudmi Samaj in three states have been restored.
The ECoR, in a release, said as the Kudumi Samaj has called off its agitation, it has been decided to run train services on normal path as per schedule with immediate effect.
Only Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad Special Express train, earlier announced as cancelled, will remain cancelled on the day.
All the other cases of diverted trains announced earlier in view of the proposed rail roko agitation will now run on normal path as per schedule.
Earlier, the ECoR had announced that train services are likely to be affected from Wednesday morning due to the rail roko agitation by Kudmi Samaj in Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand. It had cancelled 2 trains and diverted 4 others due to the agitation.
