Nor’wester Cools Down Boiling Bhubaneswar & Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: Nor’wester that brought a good spell of rain on Saturday evening was a welcome relief to the people of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack which were reeling under 40 degree Celsius temperature for the last few days.

Gusty wind accompanied by lightning struck the Twin Cities suddenly in the evening leaving the people scurrying for cover. A few minutes after the dusty wind engulfed the cities, rain lashed the boiling cities for 15-20 minutes.
While the vehicle movement came to a standstill as the visibility was affected by dark clouds and wind, there were unconfirmed reports of minor damages to properties in some parts of the cities.
The nor’wester brought down the temperature substantially, much to the relief of the people.
It may be noted that the Capital City has been sizzling under 40 degree temperature for the last three days.
