Bhubaneswar: Nature lovers can now enjoy a destination wedding besides the rolling waves at Ramchandi beach near Konark in Puri district.
In view of the marriage season, the Odisha Tourism Department has decided to open the eco-retreat site at the scenic beach as a wedding venue from Tuesday.
Eco-Retreat Sales Director Sourav Sengupta informed that to reserve the site for a marriage ceremony, one has to book all the 25 tents. Minimum of 50 persons can stay at the site with a cost of Rs 5,000 per head.
However, there are arrangements for 100 people to attend a marriage party. Besides, all the guests can enjoy the games available at the eco-retreat.
Notably, the Odisha government has decided to open five tourist destinations in the state as ‘eco-retreat’ attractions. These are Ramchandi beach near Konark, Badamula in Satkosia, Daringbadi, Hirakud water reservoir and Bitarkanika mangrove forest.
