Puri: A team of the National Security Guard (NSG) inspected security arrangements in and around Jagannath Temple in Puri on Saturday.
The three-member team accompanied by officials of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration visited the four gates, pejanala and Jagamohan of the temple, besides taking stock of security arrangements at Bimala Temple and Koili Baikuntha.
Basing on the inspection, the NSG will chalk out an action plan to deal with possible terror threat to the temple.
The NSG usually conducts reconnaissance after sensitive places are identified in consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs, State Police and intelligence officials.
