New Delhi: Fifty-six candidates scored 100 percentile (100 NTA score) in the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) 2024, creating a record. Among them are two women, Sanvi Jain (Karnataka) and Shayna Sinha (Delhi). The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the combined results of Paper 1 (BE/ BTech) of the January and April sessions on Wednesday night. Another highlight of the results has been the five-year high qualifying percentile at JEE (Main) to be eligible for JEE (Advanced), the entrance test for admission to the sought-after 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Among the states, Telangana with 15 candidates in the top scorer list continues to lead for the third consecutive year.

The second position has gone to Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Both have seven candidates with 100 percentile each, followed by Delhi with six aspirants. Of the 14.1 lakh candidates, almost 96% of the aspirants took the test for undergraduate admissions for engineering and architecture programmes in centrally funded technical institutions and for eligibility to JEE (Advanced) for admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT).

While in the JEE (Main) January session 23 candidates scored 100 percentiles, 33 scored 100 percentile in the April session. The 56 toppers include 40 from the general category, 10 from the OBC category, and six from gen-EWS. However, there are no candidates from the Sc and ST categories to manage a 100 percentile score this year.

Aspirants who participated in this Joint Entrance Examination can access their results on the official NTA JEE website at jeemain.nta.ac.in. NTA released the final answer key on April 21, 2024.

The JEE Main 2024 Session 2 exam took place on April 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 12, 2024, spanning 319 cities nationwide (including 22 cities outside India). The provisional answer key was issued on April 12, with the objection window closing on April 14, 2024.

Follow these steps to check the JEE Main Session 2 result for 2024:

1. Visit the official website: Go to the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) or the JEE Main portal — jeemain.nta.ac.in
2. Navigate to the result section: Look for the “Result” or “JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Result” link on the website’s homepage or in the menu/navigation bar.
3. Enter credentials: You may need to enter your application number, date of birth, and other required details to access your result. Make sure to input the correct information.
4. Submit information: After entering your credentials, submit the information to proceed.
5. View result: Once the information is submitted successfully, your JEE Main Session 2 result for 2024 should be displayed on the screen.
6. Download/print: You can download or print your result for future reference. It’s a good idea to keep a copy for your records.
7. Check cut-off and rank: Along with the result, you might also be able to view the cut-off marks and your rank in the examination.
8. Further procedures: Depending on your result and aspirations, you might need to proceed with counselling, seat allocation, or other admission-related procedures.

Verify the authenticity of the website to avoid any scams or phishing attempts.

The NTA has mentioned that “the Final Scorecard of JEE (Main) 2024 will be emailed to the candidates’ registered email addresses.”
