Mumbai: Mumbai Police has summoned Ranveer Singh for questioning in a case registered against him for posting nude photographs of himself on social media.
The 37-year-old actor has been asked to turn up at Chembur police station on August 22 to join the investigation, PTI reported.
Chembur police station officials went to Ranveer’s residence on Friday to serve him a notice to join the probe, but were informed that he was not in Mumbai.
The popular actor posted his nude pictures, from a photoshoot from Paper Magazine, on social media last month.

A city-based non-governmental organization (NGO) filed a complaint against Ranveer, based on which a case was registered.
The NGO alleged that Ranveer hurt sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty by posting his nude photographs.
The much talked-about pictures of Ranveer drew criticism from several quarters, but some fans and Bollywood colleagues like Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan defended him.
Ranveer’s ‘Cirkus’, also featuring Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde, and directed by Rohit Shetty, is scheduled to release during Christmas this year.
