Bhubaneswar: Odia director Santosh Panda’s Hindi non-feature movie ‘The Art of Life’ has been officially selected for the prestigious 11th Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival-2021.
Revealing that the 43-minute movie is based on sand art, Panda said the film sends across a message that being positive is “The Art of Life”.
Speaking about the film Panda says “The story is about two friends who meet each after a long time. One of them feels that he has much tension and stress but his friend suggests to take life easy, celebrate it and lead a positive life as it is too short.”
The yet-to-be-released film has been written by Panda himself.
Renowned Director Susant Misra, veteran actor Jublee Sundaray, France Actress Viollet Brigitte, Dr Vedula Ramalaxmi, Nitu Mishra and Kalinga Dash are the star cast of the movie.
Prof Ramakanta Mishra has penned the lyrics while English song has been composed by Panda himself. Dipankar Janah is the cinematographer and Rajesh Dash editor.
Indian Idol fame singer Chelsi Behura has rendered voice for the English song.
The Hindi non-feature has been jointly produced by Prasan Prusti and Santosh Panda.
It may be mentioned that Panda’s movie ‘Sabas Biju,’ on child leadership and child rights, had brought glory to Odisha by being selected, screened and appreciated at the National Children’s Film Festival, Rajasthan and International Children’s Film Festival, Hyderabad. The movie ‘Sabas Biju’ was written and directed by Santosh Panda.
