Bhubaneswar: An Odia girl was allegedly molested by an unidentified youth inside Bhubaneswar-Mumbai Konark Express train late on Sunday night.
The shocking incident came to light after the girl narrated her ordeal in the social media.
As stated by the victim, she was standing near the toilet inside B1 coach. As soon as the train stopped at Thane Railway station, an unidentified youth wearing a black jean pant and a black hood on his head boarded the coach.
As soon as the train began to move slowly, the youth tried to molest her. He also threatened her to throw out of the train if she raises alarm. But as she screamed for help, the youth escaped by jumping out of the coach after other passengers rushed to the spot.
The victim later posted the entire incident on the social media and lodged a complaint on Twitter with Mumbai police.
Acting on the directive, Government Railway Police (GRP), Thane registered a case and have started an investigation into the incident.
As per the complaint lodged by the victim, the incident took place at about 3.10 AM.
