Odisha 5T Secy Pandian Visits Talasari & Udaipur Beaches, Festival-Bound Bhitarkanika
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is most likely to announce a comprehensive package for development of Talasari and Udaipur beaches in Balasore district and the Bhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapara district, which will be hosting the first Mahotsav from February 14.
Secretary to Chief Minister (Transformation and Initiatives, popularly known as 5T) VK Pandian’s visit these places on Monday has triggered such speculation.
Accompanied by the chief secretary Asit Tripathy and Works secretary Krishan Kumar, he arrived at the beach area in Talasari and Udaipur early in the morning. Later, he had a meeting with the authorities concerned to prepare a blueprint for the development of these two beach areas of the state.
The state government is keen on developing tourist destinations in the North Odisha with special focus on employment and economic growth. Following the visit of the 5T secretary, work on developing these two beach areas is most likely be taken up with the approval from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, official sources said.
The team later left for Kendrapara and arrived at Bhitarkanika National Park around 12 pm and visited several places of the park. Later, they went around the river and creeks alongside the mangrove forests.
The Chief Minister is most likely announce a mega package for the development of the park too, the sources added.
