Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a marginal rise in fresh COVID-19 cases with 1494 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen a slight decline in fresh infections (1385) the previous day after 1474 more were found infected on November 4. It had seen 1201 and 1389 new cases on November 3 and November 2 respectively after a spike of 1709 on November 1.
With the fresh cases reported from all 30 districts, the state’s affected tally touched 2,98,768 on Friday.
According to I & PR Department, 867 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 627 are local contact cases.
Khurda recorded the highest 153 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (112) and Balasore (102).

With 2,83,533 persons having recovered from the disease so far, the active cases in the state stands at 13,789.
