Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed nine 2024-batch officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) as Sub-Collectors in different districts following their return from Phase-II training.
The officers will also serve as Sub-Divisional Magistrates in their assigned areas.
The General Administration and Public Grievance Department has issued a notification, marking the officers’ first independent field assignments. Under Section 14(4) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, each officer has been designated SDM of their respective sub-division.
Animesh Pradhan has been posted as Sub-Collector and SDM of Athagada in Kataka district, while Prajnanandan Giri was posted at Talcher in Anugola, Kasturi Sha at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi, and Fabi Rasheed posted in Koraput.
Similarly, Mrinalika Rathore has been posted as Sub-Collector in Rayagada, and Shubhra Panda will handle Jeypore in Koraput district. Pawan Kumar takes over Titilagarh in Balangir, Bhagat Shamal Kalyanrao has been posted to Paralakhemundi in Gajapati, and Santosh Kumar Patra will serve as Sub-Collector and SDM of Bonaigarh in Sundaragada.
