Odisha: BJD Delegation Meets SEC, Demands Arrest Of Accused In Bhadrak Murder Case
Bhubaneswar: A delegation of the Biju Janata Dal on Tuesday met senior officials at the State Election Commission and demanded arrest of a senior BJP leader and his supporters in connection with the alleged murder of Pratap Chandra Rout.
The BJD delegation stated in its representation to the State Election Commissioner that the BJP workers killed BJD supporter Pratap Chandra Rout in Dhamnagar (Bhadrak) on Monday.
Rout of Jahangir area under Dalanga panchayat was killed at the instigation of BJP leader and former minister Manmohan Samal.
The BJD delegation also drew the attention of the SEC towards massive electoral violence in Odisha during the panchayat elections.
