Bhubaneswar: Heat wave conditions continued to prevail across Odisha, with Titilagarh and Malkangiri recording a high of 42.5 degree Celsius in the state on Wednesday.
Odisha capital recorded a temperature of 39.1 degree Celsius with a humidity level at 66 per cent.
The evening bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department informed that seven places in the state recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius.
Bhawanipatna and Balangir recorded 41 degree Celsius and 41.5 degree Celsius respectively. Jharsuguda recorded 41 degree Celsius, Angul and Talcher recorded 40.1 degree Celsius.
Heat wave conditions will continue to prevail in these areas in the coming 24 hours.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower are likely to occur at a few places in the districts of South Odisha and north Coastal Odisha.
