Odisha Boy Plays Game On Dad’s Mobile; Loses Rs 58K

Keonjhar: Dilip Kumar Panigrahi, a businessman of Old Bazar area in Keonjahr town, lost around Rs 58,000 to gaming application ‘Free Fire’ which his 10-year-old son played on his mobile regularly.

The fee for the game was deducted through Google Pay and Phone Pay installed in the phone, the IANS reported.

He came to know about it recently while withdrawing money from an ATM during a business trip to West Bengal.

The businessman lost Rs 28,000 from his Bank of Baroda account and Rs 30,000 from State Bank of India account. He was informed by the banks that the amount was deducted for playing Free Fire game. He later applied for cancellation of his ATM cards, the report added.
