Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to embark on a four-day visit to New Delhi on Friday, during which he is slated to meet with top national leaders and participate in high-level policy discussions.
Sources said a key highlight of his visit will be one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the meeting, Majhi is likely to formally invite the Prime Minister to attend the state BJP government’s first anniversary celebration scheduled for next month.
This apart, the Chief Minister is also likely to present a detailed report on his government’s performance over the past year to the PM and discuss a development roadmap for Odisha’s future.
The grand event planned to celebrate the anniversary is expected to showcase the achievements of the BJP government, projecting the successful implementation of various welfare and development programmes.
Regarding his other engagements, the Chief Minister is slated to attend the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting to be chaired by PM Modi on May 24. The meeting will focus on national and state-level policy priorities and is expected to bring together key leaders from across the country.
Majhi will also attend a strategic conclave of chief ministers from NDA-ruled states, aimed at enhancing coordination among the states and aligning efforts to meet shared development goals.
The Chief Minister may also meet some Union Ministers and central party leaders during his visit to the national capital. The visit highlights the state government’s focus on active engagement with the central leadership to accelerate the state’s development journey.
