Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated ‘Krushak Odisha’, a farmers’ database of the state government, under 5T initiative.
The database contains the information about 76 lakh farmers of the state. ‘Krushak Odisha’ will enable input dealers to get licence online, OUAT students to get certificates and the Agriculture field staff to contact the farmers directly for skill development programmes.
Among others, chief secretary Asit Tripathy, development commissioner Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, agriculture production commissioner RK Sharma, secretary to chief minister (5T) VK Pandian, Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment department secretary Saurabh Garg, vice-chancellor of OUAT Pawan Kumar Agrawal and senior officials were present.
