Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi led a high-level delegation to Mumbai for the inaugural edition of WAVES 2025 – World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit, held at the Jio World Convention Centre.

Odisha’s strong presence at the summit marked a strategic push by the state to position itself as a rising force in India’s Orange Economy — spanning content, creativity, and culture.

On the sidelines of WAVES 2025, the Chief Minister held a series of one-on-one B2G meetings with prominent investors and industry leaders, reinforcing Odisha’s commitment to fast-tracked industrial growth and ease of doing business.

Key engagements included meetings with senior leadership from:

Tata Steel, Shapoorji Pallonji Group, Waaree Energies, and Indian Rare Earths Ltd. – to review progress of ongoing projects and explore expansion strategies.

Jain Irrigation Ltd and JSK Aluminium Industries Ltd – to attract investments in agro-processing, irrigation equipment manufacturing, and aluminium downstream sectors.

Google Inc and Canary’s Automation Pvt Ltd – for digital governance collaboration in areas such as predictive disaster monitoring, AI-based administration, data de-duplication in public service delivery, and advanced data analytics.

Chamber for Advancement of Small & Medium Enterprises (CASME), Maharashtra – to explore opportunities for MSME collaboration in food processing and packaging, leveraging Odisha’s raw material advantages.

A Gateway to New Investment Opportunities

The Chief Minister’s visit catalysed interest from multiple sectors, offering Odisha a unique platform to showcase its strategic advantages in industrial development, cultural promotion, and digital governance.

The state’s participation at WAVES 2025 is expected to pave the way for greater engagement with film producers, technology leaders, sporting federations, tourism operators, and creative entrepreneurs.

Aligning with the vision of Utkarsh Odisha and Odisha@2036, the Chief Minister invited global investors to be part of Odisha’s growth story, echoing the state’s new rallying call: “Yahi Samay Hai, Sahi Samay Hai” – This is the Time, the Right Time.
