Apart from direct industrial employment, the projects could generate additional jobs in construction, transportation, logistics and allied services, benefiting skilled and semi-skilled workers and local communities.
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said the government’s focus extended beyond attracting investments to ensuring that they translated into projects on the ground, employment opportunities and improved livelihoods.
Through continued engagement with investors and effective project facilitation, the government is working to strengthen Odisha’s industrial ecosystem and ensure that the benefits of economic growth reach people, he said
Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries department, said the success of investment promotion depended on implementation.
The government is working to facilitate projects, address investor requirements and improve coordination so that investments contribute to industrial capacity, employment and local economic development, he added.
