Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep sorrow over the death of two OSRTC employees in separate incidents and sanctioned ex-gratia assistance for the families of both deceased.
Majhi expressed grief over the death of Amaresh Mohanty, District Manager of OSRTC in Sundargarh, in a road accident on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. As a mark of support, he also approved an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the deceased’s next of kin, his office said in a post on X.
The state government has extended solidarity with the family during this difficult time, acknowledging Mohanty’s service and contribution to OSRTC in Sundargarh district.
Similarly, the Chief Minister also expressed profound grief over the death of Parupalli Sai Krishna Kumar, a bus driver with the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC), who passed away in a tragic incident while on duty.
Majhi extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Acknowledging the loss and the driver’s dedicated service, the Chief Minister also sanctioned an ex-gratia assistance of Rs 4 lakh from the CM’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the deceased’s nearest kin. The state government has assured full support to the family during this difficult time.
