Mumbai: Amid dating rumours and Karan Johar’s recent statement on Sania Mirza’s chat show which fuelled speculation, ‘Saiyaara’ star Ahaan Panday confirmed that co-star Aneet Padda is not his girlfriend.
Putting an end to speculation over his offscreen relationship with Aneet, Ahaan stated that she is just a good friend and he is single.
Addressing the rumours, Ahaan said in an interview with GQ India, “Aneet is my best friend. The whole internet thinks we’re together, but we’re not.”
He further explained, “Chemistry isn’t always romantic — it’s about comfort, safety, and being seen. We’ve both made each other feel that… Even though she’s not my girlfriend, I’ll never have a bond like I have with Aneet.”
Ahaan also revealed that he and Aneet had a shared dream long before they became co-stars in ‘Saiyaara’.
Both actors were fond of the Paulo Coelho quote, “It’s the possibility of a dream coming true that makes life interesting,” which, according to Ahaan, became unexpectedly prophetic for their debut.
“We dreamed this together, and it came true. What we’ve shared is so special,” Ahaan said.
Revealing his relationship status, Ahaan stated, “I’m single.”
Opening up about what his past partners described his love language as, Ahaan shared, “acts of service and grand gestures.”
Despite the clarification, many fans still believe that Ahaan and Aneet are in love.
