Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leader and Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati was admitted to a COVID hospital in the city after testing positive, his wife, Minakshi Bahinipati, said on Sunday.

Minakshi said her husband had recently undergone a COVID test after he felt uneasy. The test report came out positive on Saturday.

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Niranjan Patnaik tweeted to wish the MLA speedy recovery.

Concerned to know that Shri Tara Prasad Bahinipati @bhalubh55 has tested positive for COVID. I pray to Lord Jagannath for his quick recovery.
