Odisha Congress To Embark On 4-Day Visit Of Titli-Affected Districts

Bhubaneswar: Expressing grave concern over the damages caused by severe cyclonic storm ‘Titli’ and subsequent flood, the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has decided to visit the flood-affected district to take stock of the situation.

A ten-member team led by OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik would leave for Gajapati, Ganjam and Rayagada districts on Sunday to monitor the situation, besides holding discussion with the affected people. They would tour the affected areas for four days.

The team comprises Paralakhemundi MLA K Surya Rao, former MLA of Sanakhemundi Ramesh Jena, Rayagada District Congress Committee president Durgaprasad Panda, Rayagada Zilla Parishad president Purussotam Gamang, party leader Tirupati Panigrahi, OPCC vice-president Sadan Nayak, Ganjam District Congress Committee president Trinath Behera, Gajapati District Congress Committee president Bibhuti Patra and party general secretary Apalaswami Kadraka.

Ganjam District Pravari Suvendu Mohanty will work as the coordinator of the team.
