Bhubaneswar: Members, cutting across party lines, on Thursday expressed grave concern over gross apathy of the Centre towards KBK Yojana.
Replying on this matter during the question hour in the Odisha Assembly, Planning and Convergence minister Padmanav Behera said the Centre had sanctioned Rs 3344.95 crore for development schemes in undivided Kalahandi, Balangir and Koraput (KBK) districts during 1998-99. The state government had utilized 3289.88 crore of the total sanctioned amount.

After Centre stopped financial assistance for KBK in 2017-18, the state government has been taking up projects under Biju KBK Yojana, he added.
