Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police here on Thursday arrested a constable of Capital police station, Bijay Sethi, on charges of raping his distant niece.
According to reports, the victim had lodged a complaint at Saheed Nagar police station, alleging that she was raped by Sethi, and demanded action against him.
Acting on the complaint, police conducted a probe and later arrested Sethi.
The accused constable will be forwarded to the court later in the day, police said.
