Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha went up to 6859 on Sunday with 245 new cases being reported from 19 districts in the last 24 hours.
According to a tweet by the I &PR Department, 214 of these cases have been detected in the quarantine centres while the remaining 31 are local contacts.
Ganjam recorded the highest of 96 cases followed by Jajpur (40), Khurda (28), Bargarh (10), Jagatsinghpur (9), Kendrapada (8), seven each of Cuttack, Gajapati, Keonjhar and Nabarangpur, Sundargarh (6), Mayurbhanj (5), three each in Dhenkanal and Nayagarh, two each in Balasore and Bhadrak, and one each of Jharsuguda, Rayagada and Sonepur.
Among them are two more NDRF, ODRAF and Odisha Fire personnel.
With 21 deaths and 4743 recoveries, Odisha now has 2086 active cases.
