Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported over 10,000 new COVID-19 cases for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday with 11,177 people, including 1,016 in the 0-18 age group, testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The daily caseload had surged to 10,856 on Saturday, 10,273 on Friday and 10,059 on Thursday.
According to the I & PR Department, 6,479 of the new infections are from quarantine and 4,698 local contacts. The highest cases were reported from Khurda (3,424) followed by Sundargarh (2,136) and Cuttack (829).

With these cases being detected from 77,120 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 14.49 per cent against 14.48 per cent on Saturday, 13.56 per cent on Friday and 12.40 per cent on Thursday.
Odisha now has 69,763 active cases.
