Odisha Govt Sanctions Rs 1 Lakh For Tapu Mishra’s Treatment
Bhubaneswar: Amid prayers and speedy recovery wishes, the Culture Department on Friday sanctioned Rs 1 lakh from Artist Welfare Fund for the treatment of Ollywood singer Tapu Mishra, who is battling post-COVID complications at a private hospital here.
The family of the singer, who is on 100 per cent ventilator support, had sought help from the CMO and started raising funds to meet her treatment expenses. “She is not responding to any treatment for the last two day and is in a critical condition,” her sister Dhrutidipa Mishra told the media on Thursday.

Notably, Tapu’s father had succumbed to COVID on May 10. She had mild symptoms then and was in home isolation. On May 31, her oxygen saturation level dropped to 45 and she was admitted to Sparsh Hospital here. She was shifted to SUM COVID hospital about 10 days ago following no improvement in her condition.
