New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: ‘Mahanadi, a documentary from Odisha, was screened as the opening film at 4th ‘Nadi Utsav’ organised by Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) in New Delhi.
IGNCA, an institution dedicated to art and culture, under the Ministry of Culture has been organising the ‘Nadi Utsav’ on a grand scale for the last few years.
Filmmakers from almost all the states of India had sent films for the Documentary Film Festival, out of which 12 were selected for screening.
“Mahanadi – the River in the Eye of a Poet” – was selected as the opening film in this three-day river festival that opened in the national capital on Friday, according to a press release.
A discussion session was organised after the film screening of Mahanadi, where film’s director Jubanashwa Mishra, producer Ashok Kumar Panda and literary researcher of this film Aswini Kumar Mishra were present.
