Odisha Elections 2024: BJP Leader Baijayant Panda Halts Campaign As He Undergoes Eye Surgery
Bhubaneswar: National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Baijayant Panda, who is contesting the upcoming elections from Kendrapada Lok Sabha seat in Odisha, underwent a surgery on his left eye.
“The surgery was successful. He is currently under medical observation. Our prayers to Prabhu Baladev Ju for his speedy recovery and return to the campaign. With his blessings he will soon be fine”, Panda’s office said in a post on X. His office also posted some photographs of the former MP at the hospital.
According to sources, the surgery on the BJP leader’s left eye was conducted on Friday. In view of the surgery, Panda will not be able to take part in the campaign for a few days and he will be under medical observation.
“Due to an unanticipated & sudden medical complication a few days ago, Baijayant Panda had to postpone his campaign events. Today, he has undergone eye surgery and is currently under medical observation,” his office said in another post on X.
It may be noted that the BJP leader has been campaigning and holding roadshows in different parts of his parliamentary constituency for the last several days.
