Odisha Elections: Expelled From Congress, Suresh Routray Launches ‘Jodi Sankha’ Campaign For Son Manmath & BJD

Bhubaneswar: After remaining a hardcore Congress leader for over five decades, expelled party leader and Odisha MLA Suresh Routray was seen actively campaigning for his son Manmath, who is the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate for Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seat.

After being expelled by Congress for campaigning for his BJD nominee son, Routray seems to have decided to shun all inhibitions and openly campaign not only for his son but also for his former rival and ruling party’s Jatani Assembly seat candidate Bibhuti Balabantaray.

The veteran leader and Jatani legislator was seen launching BJD’s ‘Jodi Sankha’ campaign in Bhubaneswar parliamentary constituency with enthusiasm. In a video that appeared on social media, Routray can be seen launching the campaign for son Manmath and Balabantaray, who as once his arch rival in Jatani.

It may be noted that Routray, a six-time Congress MLA from Jatani, was recently expelled from Congress for campaigning for his son Manmath.

After his expulsion from Congress, the veteran leader, popularly known as Sura Routray, is now reportedly campaigning for his son as well as BJD with full steam.
