Bhubaneswar: YK Jethwa, director, Vigilance, Odisha on Wednesday called upon the engineers to improve their performance to achieve the goal of transparency as a part of “Mo Sarkar and 5T” policy of the state government.
Speaking at the inaugural day of two-day training programme-cum-workshop for the officers of Engineering departments on anti-corruption laws, here, the director emphasised on following Preventive Vigilance in the domain of the working system and preventing any wilful wrong doing by subordinate staff.
The training programme has been designed to sensitise the engineers regarding Preventive Vigilance, provisions of PC Act, 1988 in tendering projects, procurement process and execution of projects and do’s and don’ts and how to prevent irregularities in spending public funds.
As many as 36 engineers from the rank of assistant engineer to superintending engineer from different divisions of Works department across the state attended the workshop.
