Odisha Facing Law & Order Challenges During BJD Rule, Claims BJP’s Sudhanshu Trivedi
Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi lashed out at the BJD government in Odisha on Friday accusing it of having failed in all spheres ignoring people’s interests.
The BJP national spokesperson, who was on a visit to the state, told reporters reporters in Bhubaneswar that Odisha was once known as a peaceful state without any major law and order problem.
However, the state is now facing new challenges amid deteriorating law and order situation, the BJP leader claimed, alleging that crimes and murder have become the order of the day in the state.
Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to provide basic amenities including food and shelter to the poor, Trivedi said Odisha presents a dismal show in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
Though the Centre has made taken steps for providing houses to 28 lakh people under PMAY, the list published by Odisha government is marked by irregularities, he claimed.
The senior BJP leader further alleged that the BJD government is insensitive to the need of the people and welfare of the poor, while the officials are trying to fulfill their own vested interests.
On the other hand, BJP has resolved to ensure that the fruits of development reach the poor and downtrodden.
