Odisha Fights Corona: State Doctors Receive High Praise For Curing 10 Patients
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday praised doctors and medical staff for curing 10 COVID-19 patients in the state.
In a tweet, Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy congratulated the doctors, para-medics and the Health Department team for their combined effort.

The Health and Family Welfare Department has also praised the efforts of doctors and the entire health staff in curing the infected patients. The news has come as a big relief for the people of the state, it added.

The department specially praised female doctors and nurses for their efforts in screening and treating suspected COVID-19 cases and infected patients at hospitals.
Apart from this, the ANM, AWW and ASHA workers are conducting a door-to-door survey to check the health of the people. The self-help groups (SHGs) are preparing masks for the safety of the people while mothers and sisters are maintaining policing at home and keeping the family members at home with strict adherence to social distancing guidelines.
It also said that the National Health Mission (NHM) is coordinating the surveillance, samples collection and testing while the Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited (OSMCL) is procuring drugs, sanitizers, equipment and all protective gears for healthcare personnel.
Stating that the women scientists at the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), AIIMS and SCB Medical College and Hospital are also conducting research for the preventive measures against the virus, the department said that to increase the frequency in the diagnosis, the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) is going to commence the COVID testing soon.
“Besides, the testing kits procured by the state government will enable the conduct the test of more samples per day, it said, adding that adequate stock of sanitizers, masks and other protective gears have been earmarked for all government hospitals.” it added.
