The department specially praised female doctors and nurses for their efforts in screening and treating suspected COVID-19 cases and infected patients at hospitals.

Apart from this, the ANM, AWW and ASHA workers are conducting a door-to-door survey to check the health of the people. It also said that the National Health Mission (NHM) is coordinating the surveillance, samples collection and testing while the Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited (OSMCL) is procuring drugs, sanitizers, equipment and all protective gears for healthcare personnel.

“Besides, the testing kits procured by the state government will enable the conduct the test of more samples per day, it said, adding that adequate stock of sanitizers, masks and other protective gears have been earmarked for all government hospitals.” it added.
