Odisha Fights COVID-19: Drone Used To Disinfect Balasore City
Balasore: Using technology to combat COVID-19, the district administration began spraying of disinfectant through a drone in Balasore city on Sunday.
The first trial run of the aerial-based sanitization was successfully conducted in the city’s Police Line Square area, the district administration tweeted.

The system is developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at Chandipur in Balasore district.
The drone will disinfect city areas from a height of 20 metres through four nozzles.
With two deaths and 639 recoveries so far, Balasore district has 837 active cases at present.
