Kandhamal: Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy and 5T Secretary VK Pandian on Saturday expressed satisfaction after visiting standalone COVID-19 hospitals in Balangir, Bargarh, Sonepur and Kandhamal districts.
The hospitals in Kandhamal, Balangir and Sonepur are already operational, while the Bargarh facility — to be managed by Vikash Group, with financial support from IOCL — will soon be ready.
The hospital in Balangir, with 200 beds with 20 ICUs, is being managed by KIMS, Bhubaneswar, with financial support from OMC.
The Kandhamal hospital, with 150 beds and 10 ICUs, is also managed by KIMS with financial support from OMC.
The hospital at Sonepur has 200 beds and is managed by the state health department.
Tripathy and Pandian checked the manpower at the hospitals, medicines, ICU facility and isolation wards, and were happy with the services being provided.
